this is really not very impressive in reality, since I’ve been eating red meat all the time, recently. choripan, choripan… choripan… and a few other things here and there but mostly a lot of choripan. so obviously, this steak wasn’t going to do anything to me, tolerance-to-meat-wise. but it’s the principle of the matter.
my friend’s despedidad (goodbye) dinner was at a parrilla in the neighborhood, a traditional Argentine restaurant which is not vegetarian friendly. we all shared two plates full of steaks and some vegetables which ended up being more than enough. I ate this steak, pictured (bife de Uruguay) as well as a different steak that I don’t know the name of. there are wayyy too many different kinds of cow on that menu for me to be able to differentiate… Argentines are a bit hardcore about that.
it was an excellent steak! what can I say!
also pictured, is a weird onion and orange salad that a friend ordered. it was actually pretty tasty, but this is just one more example of foreign food being a little off its rocker. seriously, who thought of this ?!
